teri nigaahon ke teri hi raahon ke
kareeb se gayi zindagi
tujhe kyun dekha na tujhe kyun jaana na
shikaayatein karun ya nahi
thami hain yeh saansein, bhari hain yeh aankhein
sahoon kaise ab yeh faasla
bin tere bin tere bin tere,
koi khalish hai hawaon mein bin tere
close to your eyes, close to your paths only,
did life pass through,
Why didn't I see you, Why didn't I know you,
Should I complain or not?
These breaths are paused, these eyes are brimming,
how to bear with this gap now,
without you, without you, without you,
there is an emptiness in the winds without you..
kuchh bacha hi nahi darmiyaan
saans leti hai ab yeh dooriyan
dil nahi jaante raahon mein
haath se haath chhoote the kahaan
kyun nazar ke kinaare toote hain khwaab saare tu bata
soona soona samaa hai khaali khaali jahaan hai ab mera
bin tere bin tere bin tere..
koi khalish hai hawaon mein bin tere..
there is absolutely nothing that remained in between (us),
(only) these distances breathe now,
hearts don't know, in the paths,
where hands were left from hands,
why at the edges of eyes, are all the dreams broken, tell me,
all around me it's deserted, my world is now blank,
without you, without you, without you,
there is an emptiness in the winds without you....

Good work Harish!
A small thing : 'khalish' means a 'pinching sensation' or 'something which keeps nagging'. Emptiness is 'khaalipan'. 'khalish' is the noun for 'khalna' like in 'yeh baat kuchh khal si jaati hai'.
Sorry, misspelt your name, Harshit! Feel free to edit my earlier post and delete this one :)
@Prabhakar
Thanks a lot. I was taking khalish as khalipan only. n thanks again for noticing the name thing. I don't have edit option btw. Thanks again. :)
Yes, edit option is not there and rightly so.
I have a friend who, just like you, has a penchant for writing small pieces with a mix of hindi and urdu.
Anyway, I was redirected to this blog through a Google Search on lyrics. I find this really good. You know quite a lot about etymology in these languages (Urdu, Punjabi, etc.) and this is a refreshing attempt at enhancing that through sharing. Very helpful.
Great going!
@Prabhakar
