Actually this is based on the video that came long back. Anyway, I doubt if I'll be able to update Tamil lyrics anyway as I do not understand the language beyond ten, maybe twenty words. Sorry for that. :(

Hindi is so beautiful. I would translate "Aa meri akhiyon se akhiyan mila le" as "Let my eyes meet yours." I think it's a more direct translation but it helps me understand the feeling behind the phrase better.

It shouldn't be shorty or shawty. It should be sheti, probably Akon pronounced it with "e" rounded of to "aw". Sheti (or Chheti) is a punjabi word meaning shortly, or very soon. That seems more in context here.

Sheti would be out of context in the verse as the entirety of it is sung in ENGLISH.
See the you tube vid of the making, the producers really grilled him on his pronunciation of the Hindi words.
