Kashmakash is an Urdu word which is used for a situation when one is unable to decide which way to go, out of possible solutions, to put simply, a dilemma.
The word, however, may also mean a physical pulling of something in two opposite directions as well, though the meaning, which is more on the literal side, is lesser used and kashmakash is more or less always used for a thought process.
