Music: Himesh Reshammiya
Lyrics: Sameer Anjaan
Singer: Himesh Reshammiya, Yo Yo Honey Singh
Hai Apna Dil to Aawaara was a very popular song from 1958 Hindi film Solva Saal, whose first line is used as the title here. The song, composed and sung by Hemant Kumar, is one of the forever remembered gems of Hindi cinema and here Himesh seems to be giving a tribute to the song and its maker as he quite finely brings the music of his jazzy song close to the tune of the original one towards the end.
Everybody, this is my story.
This is what I feel everyday. So lonely.
In my city, I am alone
Main hi na janoon
Ke main hoon kaun
I love you lady, please be mine
Jo haan tu kar de
Then I'll be fine
In my city, I am alone
I myself don't know,
Who I am.
I love you lady, please be mine
If you say yes,
Then I'll be fine.
Din ho chaahe raat ho
Rahe ye bas aashiqui ka maara
Hai apnaa dil to aawaara
Be it day or night,
it's affected by love..
My heart is such a vagrant..
Mausam aaj to bada beqaraar hai
Aise mein mujhe tera intezaar hai
Kar le ishqbaaziyan din hi chaar hain
Din hi chaar hain
Khoya khoya rehta hai
Teri hi bekaraari mein bichara
Hai apna dil to awaara
The weather today is restless,
In such a time, I am waiting for you,
Get into love, there are just four days
[life is short is proverbially called life is just four days in Hindi, so he basically means love, because life is short.]
It remains lost,
restless for you, the poor one,
my heart is a vagrant..
Din ho chaahe raat ho
Rahe ye bas ashiqui ka maara
Hai apna dil to aawara
Hai apna dil to awara..
