Lokada Kalaji Lyrics Translation | Raghu Dixit, Jag Changa

Song: Lokada Kalaji
Album: Jag Changa
Singer: Raghu Dixit
Music and Lyrics: Traditional/ Raghu Dixit Project

Famous folk song from famous Singer and performer Raghu Dixit. It’s a very meaningful song written in Kannada. I saw his performance live in Bangalore it was amazing, and this song was performed on MTV unplugged Season 3 by him.

Lokada kaalaji madatheenanti
Ningyaar byaadantaara maadappa chinti

You want to worry about worldly pleasures…
Who stopped you? Worry!

Nee maadodu ghaligi santi
Melu maalagi kattabekanti
aane ambari yerabekanti
mannalli iliyooda thannaga marati

You are here for a momentary carnival
You want to build a tall building
You wish to ride an elephant
But you forgot that you will have to come down and become one with earth one day!

Lokada kalaji madatheenanti
Ningyaar byadantara madappa chinti

You want to worry about worldly pleasures…
Who stopped you? Worry!

Baduku baalevu nande anti
nidhi seridashtu saaladu anti
Kadava teredu kade yaathrege nadevaaga
Vodagadu yaavudoo summane alati

It's your life, it's your way
The amount of wealth you gain is never enough
When you open the door and walk out for one last time
You will realize that all that was not worth it!

Lokada kaalaji madatheenanti
Ningyaar byaadantaara maadappa chinti

You want to worry about worldly pleasures…
Who stopped you? Worry!

Neleyu Govindana paadadolaiti
Alakondu hudukidirinnellaiti
Shishunaaladheeshana dayeyolagaiti
rasikanu haadida kaviteyolaiti

The true happiness is at the feet of your guru Govinda
Even if you wander all over you won’t find it anywhere else
It is the kindness of Shishunaaladheesha [a god]
It is in the poetry sung by his true devotee

Lokada kaalaji madatheenanti
Ningyaar byaadantaara maadappa chinti

You want to worry about worldly pleasures…
Who stopped you? Worry!

Good.. shishunala Sharif's songs are mystical in nature.. he was a Muslim initiated into shashtras in early childhood by a Brahmin scholar ... These kind of thousands of saints are really Bharat ratnas they gave so much spiritual wealth ..
