Singers: Alka Yagnik, Vinod Rathod
This is one of the Indipop songs that gained some popularity during the late '90s. The song is about a question as to where are the good places that make us more lively, and without saying expressly, the answer seems to be our villages as some things mentioned there can be found in villages, though it seems to be a bit more about the nostalgia than the actual scene.
aise mausam kahaan
aise mausam kahaan
aise mausam kahaan
jinse dil ho jawaan
where are such weathers,
which make the heart young again..
aise mausam yahaan
zindagi ka hai kitna haseen kaaravaan
there are such weathers here..
what a lovely journey this life is.
muskuraata chaman,
gungunaata chaman,
jis taraf jaaiye,
chehchahaata chaman,
mehka mehka yahaan,
ye mera gulsitaan, ye mera gulsitaan,
zindagi ka hai kitna haseen kaaravaan
a smiling garden,
a humming garden,
wherever you go,
there is a twittering garden...
it's all fragrant here,
in this flower-garden of mine.
aise mausam kahaan
paayalon ki jhanak
chooRiyon ki khanak
chhananana chhum chhum
chhanana chhum chhum
chhananana chhum chhum chhum
paayalon ki jhanak
chooRiyon ki khanak
kaisi panghaT pe hai
gesuon ki mehak
paani bharti jawaan,
ye haseen laRkiyaan,
ye haseen laRkiyaan...
the jingling of anklets,
the clinking of bangles,
what a fragrance of hair is
there on the well
filling water here,
are such young beautiful girls.
haan aise mausam yahaan..
titliyon ka jahaan
phool shabnam yahaan
wo hawaaon mein uRti hui chunariyaan
gora gora badan,
jaise hon machhliyaan
jaise hon bijliyaan...
a world of butterflies,
there are flowers and dew here.
those scarves flying in the air,
and fair complexioned bodies,
like some fish,
like the lightning...
ho aise mausam yahaan
zindagi ka hai kitna haseen kaarawaan.
are aise mausam kahaan
jinse dil ho jawaan...
