As someone asked me for it, here is the meaning of Lak da Hulara. Lak means waist, while hulara means to swing, hence, Lak da Hulara in Punjabi is simply a swing of waist, basically while dancing.

As far as I can see it, Kaaga is not the BIRD that you see in parindey.
For one, Kaaga clearly is a crow. In fact the Hindi word Kauva has come from the Sanskrit word 'Kaak' which becomes kaaga in Awadhi, Braj, and many other dialects. So it's a crow and no other bird. Also, to make it more clear, by mythology, as well as science, a crow is one of the most common creatures who eat dead bodies, and that is what the singer is talking here about.
Secondly, and probably more importantly, the naadaan parinda here, that is the immature bird, is just a way to call his own self, someone who has lost his home and started alone on the unknown paths of the world. The Naadan Parinda is NOT the crow that the singer wants to eat his flesh. And the crow being talked to is not the bird who is roaming in the world, his haal behaal thaka haara.
Matter of fact, this part of the song is almost completely different from the rest of the world, but at the same time is important here as it tells where the singer thinks his home is.

So someone asked me what Bumbaat in Ladki tu hai badi bumbaat means. Well, as far as I know there is no such word as Bumbaat in Hindi or any other nearby language. But then I easily guess what bumbaat here means.
Most probably bumbaat is a deformation of the word Bombard, and the meaning here is for a Bombardment, or simply a Bomb. The meaning seems to fit the song and the line quite well, so I guess this should be it. Still, if you have a clear idea of something that is bumbaat and should fit here, you're most ooh la la. Rockstar Songs Review (2011, A R Rahman, Mohit Chauhan)
Rockstar starts with Mohit Chauhan singing Phir se ud chala. The song, that starts with a relatively light mood and gets a breezy effect from Mohit, like the words of the song, gets remixy by the end, actually a nice experiment that will catch on slowly. One very interesting part of the song, though, was the background vocals in the beginning and end.

And then A R Rahman in an experimental mood, composing like there is someone actually singing at a concert. And Mohit Chauhan singing that. Gali Gali mein Shor hai Meaning
'Gali Gali mein shor hai', literally there is noise in every street, is part of a common Hindi phrase which most ends with a rhyming line 'XYZ chor hai'. Now XYZ can be any person or organisation which the people shouting the lines are trying to protest against.

In the 1990s, lyrics was not something that people were much worried about. There were music directors whose music sold with whatever words or unwords were there. Of course, good lyrics could be a plus, but one could do with tu cheez badi hai mast mast and sexy sexy sexy mujhe log bolen as well. But fortunately, things changed for better with the next decade, at least to some extent. During those times, came a lyricist, who started slowly, but went on to give some of the best lyrics Hindi film industry would find in that age, especially from such a young lyricist.
Prasoon Joshi started his Journey in Hindi film industry with Bhopal Express where he wrote the lyrics for a single background track composed by Shankar Mahadevan, followed by a single song for Rajkumar Santoshi's Lajja, sung by Lata Mangeshkar and composed by Ilaiyaraja. He took time to find his movies, but most of the movies he chose got him good recognition. That is how Prasoon is one of the best known lyricists in film industry with less than twenty movies to his credit, a few of them having just a song of two written by him.
After this he wrote lyrics for Love at Times Square, Kyon and Aankhen as well, but his name got recognition when he wrote lyrics for Hum Tum (2004), his second complete Hindi album after Kyon.
